Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 May 2026 Effective from: 15 May 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Superkin is a service operated by Superwild Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17138850), registered office: Moy Road Industrial Estate, Taffs Well, Cardiff, Wales, CF15 7QR.
These terms ("Terms") are a contract between you and us. They apply when you create an account, when you join someone else's household, when you visit superkin.app, and when you use any of our mobile apps. By using Superkin, you agree to these Terms.
If you don't agree, please don't use Superkin. If you've already created an account and changed your mind, delete your account in Settings or email hello@superkin.app.
2. The plain-English summary
These Terms are written carefully because they're a contract. But here's what they actually say:
- Superkin is a household app for dog owners. It is not a substitute for a vet.
- You're 18 or older if you have an account. You're responsible for what your team logs.
- We do our best to keep the service running, but we're not perfect. If we mess up, our financial responsibility is limited.
- Don't be a jerk — no abuse, no misuse, no breaking the law.
- You own your data. We have a licence to operate the service with it.
- We can update these terms, and we'll tell you when we do.
The full legal text is below. The plain-English summary doesn't override the legal text, but it's a fair description of what's in it.
3. Who can use Superkin
3.1 Account holders
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Superkin account.
3.2 Team members
If you've been invited to join a household by someone with an account, you may use Superkin in the role assigned to you (Helper, Walker, or Vet). The account holder is responsible for who they invite.
3.3 Children
Children under 18 may interact with the app on a parent's account in a supervised capacity, but only the parent (the account holder) is bound by these Terms as a party. Once Kid Mode launches, additional restrictions will apply.
3.4 UK and EU residents only (for now)
Superkin is currently offered to residents of the United Kingdom and the European Union. We may expand later, and we'll update these Terms when we do.
4. What Superkin is
Superkin is a software service that helps dog-owning households coordinate care for their dogs. It includes:
- A shared place to log observations, tasks, and photos about your dog
- A weekly plan generated from those logs, delivered every Sunday
- A vet brief generator that prepares a one-page PDF for appointments
- Money Tab features that compare prescription prices and help you request written prescriptions under UK law
Superkin is not:
- A veterinary service
- A medical diagnostic tool
- A pharmacy
- A regulated financial service
- A substitute for professional advice of any kind
4.1 The veterinary line — read this
Superkin does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The Sunday plan, the vet brief, and the in-app suggestions are based on what your household logs. We may suggest that you visit your vet. We will never tell you what's wrong with your dog or what to do about it medically.
If your dog is unwell, you must consult a registered veterinary surgeon. In the UK, only a vet registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) can lawfully diagnose conditions and prescribe treatment.
In an emergency, contact your vet or an emergency veterinary service immediately. Do not rely on Superkin for emergency triage.
4.2 Beta status and change
Superkin is a young service. Features may change, break, or be removed. We try to give reasonable notice for material changes, but we reserve the right to update the service as it evolves.
5. Your account
5.1 Honesty
You'll provide accurate information when you create your account and keep it up to date.
5.2 Security
You're responsible for keeping your magic-link emails out of other people's hands and for actions taken under your account.
If you think someone has accessed your account without permission, email hello@superkin.app and we'll help you secure it.
5.3 Multiple accounts
One account per person, please. Don't share an account with another adult — invite them as a Helper instead.
5.4 Ending your account
You can delete your account any time in Settings → Account → Delete. We process deletions within 30 days. Some data may be retained briefly for legal or operational reasons (see the Privacy Policy).
If you're the last owner of a household, you'll be asked to transfer ownership or confirm deletion of the entire household.
6. Your data and content
6.1 You own your content
You retain all rights to the notes, tasks, photos, voice recordings, and other content you create in Superkin. We don't claim ownership of any of it.
6.2 Licence to operate the service
To run Superkin, we need permission to host, display, process, and back up your content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service to you and your household. This licence ends when you delete the content (or when we delete it after your account closure).
We do not use your content for advertising, sell it to third parties, or train AI models on it. (Our AI subprocessors — OpenAI and Anthropic — do not train on data sent via their commercial APIs. See the Privacy Policy.)
6.3 Sharing within your household
When you log content into a shared household, the other members of that household (per their role and permissions) can see it. By using Superkin, you understand that your team members can see what you log, and you're responsible for what you share.
6.4 Sharing with your vet
If you generate a vet brief and share it with your vet, that's a deliberate act by you. We deliver the PDF; what happens after that is between you and your vet.
6.5 Pets are not people
Data about your dog isn't personal data under UK GDPR (pets aren't legal persons). But notes you write about your dog may incidentally include personal information about people (your name, family members, your vet's name). That data is treated as your personal data and covered by the Privacy Policy.
7. What you can't do
You agree not to use Superkin to:
- Break the law in any country
- Harm or harass any person, dog, or animal
- Upload content that's illegal, obscene, defamatory, infringes intellectual property, or violates someone's privacy
- Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Attempt to access another household's data without permission
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure
- Use Superkin to provide veterinary advice to anyone other than yourself about your own dog
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your role
- Resell, white-label, or expose Superkin's features to third parties without our written permission
- Use Superkin in connection with anything that might bring it or us into disrepute
If you breach these rules, we may suspend or terminate your account. Some breaches we'll fix with a friendly note. Others (illegal activity, harm to others) end the relationship immediately.
8. Paid plans (when they exist)
Superkin's MVP is free. We'll introduce paid plans (Family, Pro, Practice) in due course. When that happens:
- Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled
- Prices are shown in GBP including VAT where applicable
- You can cancel anytime in Settings; access continues until the end of the paid period
- Refunds are at our discretion outside of UK consumer law minimums (14-day cooling-off period for new subscriptions)
- Apple and Google manage billing for in-app purchases through their stores; their terms also apply
We'll publish the full subscription terms before launching paid plans and notify existing users at least 30 days before they take effect.
9. Service availability
We aim for Superkin to be available 24/7, but:
- We may take the service offline for maintenance, with notice where practical
- Third-party providers we rely on (Supabase, Vercel, OpenAI, Anthropic, Apple, Google) may have outages outside our control
- We don't offer a contractual uptime guarantee in the free tier; once paid plans launch, separate SLAs will apply
If the service is unavailable in a way that materially affects you, contact hello@superkin.app and we'll do what's fair.
10. Third-party services
Superkin integrates with third-party services (the App Store, Google Play, online pharmacies via affiliate links, your vet via email). Those services have their own terms, which apply when you use them. We're not responsible for what those services do.
Where we link to online pharmacies via affiliate links, we may receive a small commission. This does not change the price you pay and does not influence which pharmacies we list. We list options based on price and reliability, not commission.
11. Intellectual property
The Superkin name, the Superwild brand, the app's design and code, the plan-generation prompts, the visual identity, and everything else we create remain our property. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the service for its intended purpose; we don't transfer any IP rights to you.
Content you create remains yours (Section 6.1).
If you provide us with feedback or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything. (We're not buying your ideas — but if you tell us about a feature you'd love, we may build it.)
12. Limitation of liability
We do our best to provide a useful, safe service. But we can't promise perfection. To the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses (lost profits, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill)
- We are not liable for losses caused by your reliance on Superkin for veterinary, financial, or other professional decisions
- Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) £50, or (b) what you've paid us in that period
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any other liability that can't be limited under English law (including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if applicable to you)
If you're a consumer (which most household account holders will be), nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
13. Indemnity
If your use of Superkin (especially anything in Section 7) causes a third party to bring a claim against us, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from that claim. This includes claims arising from content you upload, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of someone else's rights.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Superkin if:
- You materially breach these Terms
- You use the service in a way that exposes us or another user to legal risk
- We're required to by law or by a competent authority
- We discontinue the service (we'll give at least 60 days' notice in this case and offer a data export)
You may end your relationship with us at any time by deleting your account.
When the relationship ends, sections that by their nature should survive (IP, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) continue to apply.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes (anything that meaningfully affects your rights or obligations) will be notified to active users by email at least 30 days before they take effect, with a summary of what's changed.
Minor changes (clarifications, typos, updates to subprocessor names) will be reflected here with the "Last updated" date.
Your continued use of Superkin after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't accept them, delete your account before they take effect.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by English law.
If you're a consumer in the UK, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms takes those rights away.
If we have a dispute that we can't resolve by talking to each other, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (and if you're a consumer in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts).
Before going to court, please email us at hello@superkin.app and give us a fair chance to fix it. We'll do the same.
17. Other legal bits
17.1 Whole agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other documents we expressly incorporate, are the entire agreement between you and us about Superkin. They replace any prior agreements.
17.2 Severability
If a court decides any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
17.3 No waiver
If we don't enforce a right under these Terms straight away, that doesn't mean we've given it up.
17.4 Assignment
You can't transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else without our written permission. We may transfer ours to a successor (for example, if we sell the business).
17.5 Notices
We'll send legal notices to the email on your account. You can send notices to us at hello@superkin.app.
17.6 Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, war, pandemics, internet failures).
