About Superkin
Is it free?
Yes for the basics. There's a free tier with one dog and two team members. The full Family tier (unlimited team, the Sunday plan, the vet brief) is £4.99 a month or £39 a year.
Who is it for?
UK households with a dog. We launch with two onboarding flows: New Puppy (under 18 months) and Senior Dog (7+ years). Adult-dog households work with the same engine; we lean into puppy and senior because those are the two highest-anxiety chapters of dog ownership.
I have multiple dogs.
Multi-dog support is coming in v1.5. We'll mention it on the homepage when it's live.
The Sunday plan
How is the plan made?
Every Sunday at 6pm, your dog's plan is generated from the team's notes and tasks for the previous seven days. We use Anthropic's Claude to write it. The output is structured — nine card types covering working-on, watch-for, maybe-vet, money, who-does-what.
Does the plan give medical advice?
No. The plan recommends visits — never diagnoses, never prescribes. The RCVS line is mechanically enforced: components literally cannot output a diagnosis. If we ever suggest a vet visit, that's a 'worth a check-in' nudge, not a clinical recommendation.
Can I edit the plan?
Plans are immutable snapshots — we capture exactly what was generated, when, from what data. Team members can react to cards (helpful / off / disagree) and comment; reactions feed into next week's prompt.
Privacy & data
Where does my data live?
EU region. Supabase Ireland hosts the database, storage (audio recordings, photos), and authentication. We disclose every subprocessor in our privacy policy.
Who can see my notes?
Only the people you've invited to your household. Vets see health-tagged notes only and only after you opt in per category. Walkers see today's plan summary and can drop handover notes, but not historical health data, medications, or money information.
How do I delete my account?
Account deletion is a one-tap action from Settings. Your data is purged within 30 days. You can also export everything as CSV before deletion — required under GDPR portability.
Money
How do the savings work?
The 2026 CMA reforms gave UK owners the legal right to a written prescription on request and to use any pharmacy. Most owners overpay £200+ a year on long-term medications (Apoquel, Librela, Trazodone, joint supplements) by buying through the practice. The Money Tab in your weekly plan spots when you're overpaying, drafts the prescription request email, and walks you through ordering online. We never undermine your vet relationship — we just help the maths.
Do you earn commission?
When we link to online pharmacies, some are affiliate links — we get a small commission at no extra cost to you, and we disclose it. Affiliate revenue is roughly 20% of our model; subscriptions are the bulk. We pick pharmacies on price + reliability, not commission size.

Technical
Which devices does it support?
iOS 16+ and Android 11+. The app is built on Expo SDK 54 (React Native 0.81). We submit to TestFlight first; full App Store / Play Store rollout follows v1 launch.
Does it work offline?
Voice memos, quick-tap, and photo logging queue locally if you're offline and sync when you're back online. The Sunday plan delivery needs connectivity (generation happens on our servers).
